Wellness and Recovery Services in Merrimack Valley

The culture in our sober homes promotes family, friendship, support, and recovery. The House Director oversees both homes to assist with additional case management support and to facilitate weekly house meetings. Both homes are near an established public transportation route allowing access to work, education and recreational opportunities, which are vital components to a successful recovery. The organization began back in 1971 as a home for men who were looking for a place to stay on the path of sobriety while dealing with their alcoholism. Dennis has worked 26 years for the Lowell Housing Authority in various positions.

Programs

Anthony is originally from Biddeford, ME and attended Bentley University in Waltham, MA where he graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and a minor in Law. He has worked at Clark Insurance since 2011, starting in the Portland, ME HQ before relocating to Lowell in 2015 when Clark purchased the James L Cooney Insurance Agency. A.J.’s role within Clark Insurance has him working directly with business owners throughout the Merrimack Valley to help mitigate/manage risk, specifically in the non-profit, construction, and property management industries. Prior to healthcare Pamela worked in the insurance industry as a licensed broker for Colonial Life and Accident. From there, she transitioned into Managed Care, joining a privately-owned company as the Director of Business Development.

She continued to grow in her career at Megan’s House and took on the role of Family Counselor, working with residents and their supports to rebuild trust and promote healthy communication. In the fall of 2023, Angela became the Program Director of Megan’s House. She is continuing to further her education and is committed to working with the Megan’s House Foundation to expand services for young women with substance use disorders. Tanya’s passion for recovery largely came from her support of The Herren Project. After hearing former NBA player, Chris Herren speak about his recovery at her local high school in 2013, she decided to help raise funds for treatment navigation by running her first every 5k.

Working Cities Lowell was a cross-sector coalition of 13 core institutions working with residents and business owners in the Acre neighborhood of Lowell. Paul is also a strong supporter of many non-profits throughout the Merrimack Valley, serving as the Entertainment Director for the Salvation Army radiothon, which helps so many families in need in the region. While he is very busy professionally working as a truck driver, professional musician and fishing boat captain, Paul stills find time to give back to his community. A tireless community advocate, Paul has served as the past President and Vice President of the Pawtucketville Citizen Council and is the Founder of the Rosemont Terrace neighborhood group. Paul Belley joined the Megan House Foundation Board of Directors in January of 2017, but has been involved with the organization since its grand opening.

She has a passion for volunteering and has donated endless hours to non-profit organizations, as she enjoys helping others. Steven is an active member in telemedicine associations and organizations around the globe and has presented at numerous telemedicine forums throughout North America, South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia. Steven has authored many articles on telemedicine technology and the growth and acceptance of the remote healthcare industry. Beginning in 2012 Pamela transitioned to the External Affairs division to work collaboratively with the VP of External Affairs, Philanthropy and Marketing.

1. Shaun is currently the Business Services Manager at MassHire Lowell Career Center where he leads a team that provides direct workforce development services to employers in the Greater Lowell region.
2. Located a minute’s walk to the train station and just blocks from downtown Lowell.
3. Kerrie enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, and taking long walks with their dog Gogo.
4. She has also held many positions on regional and national Cancer Registrar Boards.
5. Born and raised in the city of Lowell, Robert has been active in fighting the Opiate Epidemic in the Lowell area for a number of years.

Louise is a strong advocate for education, support, recovery and treatment. University of Massachusetts LowellA nationally ranked, public research institution, partof the University of Massachusetts system. It offers undergraduate and graduate programs including Online and Continuing Education programs. State Rep. Kate Donaghue, D-Westboro, shared her own personal connection with the epidemic — her only child, Brian, died of an overdose. She offered a moment of silence for him, Emma and all those who lost their lives to drugs.

House fire claims life of Lowell man

The rebrand comes after a year of interviewing staff and community partners and bringing in a third-party agency to help develop the brand. The board voted unanimously to transition to Riverbend at their September board meeting which also welcomed three new Directors to the board. Teddy began his broadcasting career as a Sports Producer at WDH-TV Channel 7 in Boston and also wrote for the Lowell Sun. When not working at the radio station, Teddy Review Vanderburgh House helps run his family restaurant in Lowell.

In 2002, she began working at a homeless family shelter, and it was there she realized she wanted to pursue a career in mental health. In 2010, Kim graduated from Cambridge College with a Master of Ed all while raising her three amazing sons. She received her LMHC in 2012 and in 2015 became the Clinical Director at The Megan House working with young women who suffer from substance use disorder. In 2023 Kim returned to a career in the public school system as a School Adjustment Councilor.
